High Traffic Site - Hardware Advice
I need advice on what hardware to use on a pretty high traffic site.

I have a wordpress site on a Managed Virtual Server with the following specs:

1 GB of Ram (1.5 GB burstable) on server
400 GB of bandwidth in one week
300 MB of storage
16,000 + pageviews (not hits or visitors) a day

The site runs very slow and is killing the MVS that I have it hosted on currently. PHP requests are sky-high, and on the previous host there was a constant CPU usage warning that took the site offline.

Now we're looking at a new server with some different specs. I have some people telling me that I need to get a different Virtual Server, but I don't think that will help too much. So I'm looking at dedicated. Please tell me your thoughts on what I think we need, and give me any advice you might have on the hardware that could work with the site.

Server Specs Needed? -
Hard drive with 15,000 RPM
6 GB of Ram
