Using a printer like a photosmart for travel
can it use plain paper

I might be a bit crazy but I like to have a printer available when I travel.. For things like printing out maps, parts of websites etc.

Throwing one of the medium sized inkjets in the car takes up a lot of space. The compact travel printers are over $200 and are kind of limited in use.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with any of the compact photo printers such as the HP Photosmart. They are pretty small for the ones that are about 4x7 format or so.

I was wondering if

1. You can feed plain paper to it (the specs talk about creative paper so I'm assuming you can feed it stuff other than regualr photo paper)
2. You can print stuff such as web pages and word docs without too much of a hassle.

My thought is that I can better use the photo printer for my regular daily work than the compact travel printer.

thanks

If I recall correctly there is a very small photo printer form Kodak or something. It isn't much bigger than an old modem, don't remember the model name though.
