| Eliminate partition before resize the other?

I have C with OS and programs partitioned in 20gb and
F now empty with anohter 20gb Should I first eliminate the F partition with the disk manager that comes with windows xp? Or go directly to the 3rd party software to resize C, I mean may a program resize C taking the space on F partition (I don't know how that works)

Depending on the 3rd party software, it should allow you to delete the partition and then resize C. In some programs, it may be a 2-step process (delete partition, then resize, with a reboot in between). Others may combine both steps into 1 process. Either way, the F partition will have to be deleted before the C partition can be resized to take over the space. [edited by: LifeinAsia at 5:51 pm (utc) on May 18, 2007]
