Core2Duo vs Xeon

Hello.

Looking into configurations for a dedicated server that will run Linux. The heavy lifting on my site is MySQL queries.

These are the processors I'm being offered:

Dual XEON 2.66GHZ
2GB RAM

Intel Core2Duo
1GB RAM

If you had a site with a MySQL database that got lots of hits, which would you pick?

As far as I can tell that's a tough one. What is the GHz of the Core 2 Duo? Are the FSB speeds the same? Personally, I would probably choose the dual Xeon because it has more RAM (assuming the cost is the same).
