I am about to engage in a web project for which I will be hiring 100% of the technical help, could anyone please suggest what I need to do to protect the idea itself? What agreements/contracts if any would usually be signed between client and developer ensuring confidentiality and intellectual property?
I'm trying to find out what I should be expecting from a reputable design/development house here as I am new to this and wish to separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak.

You'll want to consult an attorney (we can't give legal advice here) but one phrase (and meaning) I like is WORK FOR HIRE and all that means.
