I am about to enter into an outsourcing agreement with another website.
Basically, I will outsource part of my website that is their specialty and vise versa. Think of it like AOL outsourcing their mail service to Yahoo and Yahoo im turn outsourcing their music service to AOL.
Is there any advise or tips you guys can suggest. His website is in Canada while I am in the states. Anything to include im the agreement? What is the best way to go about doing this? How can I ensure I don't lose as many visitors from outsourcing my service as much as I will gain from his outsource service to me?
Assuming he dominates that niche and I dominate in mine, should each try to develop and work harder on their inferior niche or does it make more sense to just outsource to each other?
While we are not direct competitors, we do have milions of monthly visitors.

Seems to be a complex issue, since nobody answered in a month :-)
Your intention for mutual outsourcing seems to be pretty reasonable, i.e. everybody can concentrate on things each does best.
But if there is any caveats involved?
It would be nice if you could measure results of such a cooperation, and probably it would be a good idea to make sure this cooperation is a subject for regular reviews where you can decide if this cooperation indeed yelds the results intended.
In other words, make sure you can run if this cooperation does not work :-)
