How to spruce up a site for mobile viewing?
Ideas and suggestions

I attended an Adsense meeting several months ago and there was a big push to get your site mobile-friendly. I do think as more smartphones and tablets are purchased by consumers, this will be an increasingly important issue.

My website developer can get my WordPress site mobile-friendly, but the cost is more than I can afford right now (thanks Panda!).

So are there things you can do to a site to make it more mobile-friendly without a complete redo? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I have four mobile friendly versions of my websites and the conclusion i have come to is that it's not necessary to convert all the pages in one go. Try to do you ten most popular and judge what the result is.

For my two main site though I have redesigned the layout completely - what suits a PC does not suit a mobile. But again, do a small sub-set of popular pages and go from there.
