If you have an international clientèle, you also have the issue that they will be in different time zones, so even if you try end send during your daylight hours it could still end up being 3am for them unless you know what time zone they are in and can schedule sending e-mails based on that information.

why not send at the same time of day as they subscribed to your newslette?

That is a fairly neat solution. I was thinking about sorting users by time zone and mailing them at mid day (their time). Mack.

You could always allow them to edit their profile and nominate the time they want to receive e-mails.
