I am looking to brand my supersite with myown domain name.... but I've missed something from the info I have to date... any thoughts... cheers

I have a supersite... mysupersite.com
to brand it as my name apparently i should do this... type in my domain name url (in supersite branding admin) then set a A record (both done... but no cigar so far.

my thoughts are i have missed something (have never set up resseller site before):

in normal set up of website... I buy domain and change ns to point to my host server
on host server i place website files

1. type in owndomainname
2. set a A record
both done, but so far (48hours) NOT WORKING

should i actually (though they havent said) have to point the ns... or should the A record be doing that?

any thoughts/experience
cheers stephenn

"no cigar so far" means you requested your http://example.com/ and you got what response?

and is owndomainname really your own domain or is it a subdomain of mysupersite.com

have you tried nslookup for your hostname?

hi phranque,
the mysupersite.com is the 'readymade' site offered to use from resellerclub.... i then tweek the products and design to how i want... then trade as reseller....of products.
have accomplished all above

but.... finally..... wish to brand the mysupersite.com to be mydomainname.com (my own that i have purchased.

their guidelines are fragmented, but so far i have found out i have to:
1 set mydomainname.com in their admin panel
2 make an A record for it
3 make A records for 4 ns
4 make child ns of above A records

.... just now trying to learn the difference of a A record ip as 'route'
a A record ip as 'www'

onwards and upwards
