Tracking Number of pages on a site over time

I want to write a report that shows how the number of pages on our Web site has changed from year to year. Is there an online tool that I can use (e.g, web.archive.org, google.com) to find the total number of pages counted/crawled on our site for a given year (e.g., 2005)?

i'm not aware of any source for this type of data.
i would imagine you would have to keep your own history for this by conducting your own crawls.
even among the various engines (or G data centers for that matter) you won't find a definitive number at a given point in time, let a lone an accurate history.
