Why not look for another FLV player online? There are a few free ones around and many others that are very reasonably priced. Try a search for FlowPlayer. Or indeed try Flash Den. You will of course have to encode the video for flash format. dc

thanks. Just had a look at flow player. GPL *and* free to use for commercial purposes. The internet is a beautiful thing :)

flowplayer is nice, but it can be a bit of a problem if you don't want your videos to autoplay - google 'flowplayer +autoplay' and see how much discussion there is on this. You might consider embedding your video from another host... [edited by: phranque at 12:22 am (utc) on July 16, 2009] [edit reason] No urls, please. See TOS [webmasterworld.com] [/edit]

Ummmn I think you should search a bit more re embedding Youtube videos, they have fairly flexible options. Look outside Youtube's own guide(s). I am fairly sure, without bothering to look, that you can disable the other video links. Otherwise FlowPlayer is very nice and I use that for self-hosting. Autoplay - don't know what the issue is there, I use version 2.x and have a number of videos which don't auto-play. It's very customizable and has good interface design plus integration with Google Analytics.

It is certainly possible to disable the list of other videos that appear after playing. I did it by accident when embedding one of a pair of video clips on a site of mine. I wish I knew what option that I had clicked to do it!

You mean &rel=0 meanwhile... &fs=0 will give you a clean page at the end &fs=1 gives embed menus &fs=2 a replay button &fmt=18 gives the HQ version &hd=1 gives (you guessed it!) HD I had posted a link above to a site I'd created that offers side-by-side comparisons of all the major video embedding hosts. But you can still get to see it if you go to - [snip] - Is that ok? It's not a link. I'd appreciate any feedback. Cheers! [edited by: phranque at 1:17 pm (utc) on July 16, 2009] [edit reason] No urls, please. See TOS [webmasterworld.com] [/edit]
