Sites unreachable from certain geographic locations (or IP blocks?)
all my websites are unreachable from certain locations and/or IP blocks

I have three websites with the same hosting provider located in the USA.

Although hosted in USA, great majority of my traffic comes from Turkey, and for the last two days, it seems that my sites are unreachable from certain locations and/or ip blocks in Turkey. Currently, my traffic dropped 90%. That is to say, it is not only my ip that is affected.

Checking my statcounter logs, I see that many visitors from Turkey attempts reaching my websites through google cache.

But I know that my sites are not down, since they continue to receive visitors from other countries, and occasionally from Turkey. also, when I use proxies, the pages load perfectly.

When I try to go directly to the websites (including the main page of the hosting company), my browser says that the page(s) are currently unavailable (which is not true).

Could you please help me to understand if the problem is on the hosting provider, or on the internet service providers in Turkey?

Thank you in advance

At a guess this is probably either official censorship or self censorship by Turkish ISPs.

If the block is against the service provider that may be because of your sites or because of other sites that they host.

Thank you piatkow,

After exchanging a couple of emails with the hosting service provider, I received an email stating that "This should be resolved now" (exact wording).

So, it was not an issue of censorship, or not a problem on the ISP side, contrary to my guess.

In their first email, they said that they did not block any IPs from Turkey.

It is still mystery for me, but I am glad that it is resolved before suffering serious damages in terms of SE ranking. Al my three sites are performing well in SERPs with literally hundreds of keyphrases.

Blocks implemented at the Turkish end would be invisible to the US based web host.
