|Preventing index.html from loading|
| 8:46 pm on Jun 18, 2007 (gmt 0)|
Hello - Is there a way (e.g. some command line or something) to stop an index page from loading?
For example, if I went to www.example.com/sub; www.example.com/sub/index.html would automatically load. I want to stop that so I can browse the /sub subdirctory.
Is there a way to do this?

yes, delete index.html or rename it. Or, you can remove index.html from your default index pages in the apache config or IIS config if you have that access.

I usually just rename index.htm to 1index.htm. that way, there is not a lot of typing or deleting just to change the name.
