I am in the process of creating performance standards for a new 1024x768 site. Looking to see what industry dictates as excellent page load, page size, image size, flash sizes etc. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks,

I try to keep the page load below 4 secs. +/-10K for code and whole page including images under 50K. Of course you have to break the rules for some pages but those are my limits. If it is bigger, I see if I can break up the pages. (more pageviews means more revenue for me)
