| Need nice video gallery - which script/blog plug-in to use?

this is a questions for experienced programmers/designers. I'm just in the process of revamping my website which is mostly plain html (with a bit of wordpress in it) and I need to integrate a nice video gallery to showcase my videos and perhaps even ones hosted on third party sites like youtube (although i'd probably prefer if I hosted them directly).
How shall I achieve this - can someone pls give me some tips on what scripts are available? [i can even pay if necessary] For one I've been considering joomla Jomtube but I've never really worked with joomla - anyone with experience pls? [not only joomla i'm interested in others too]. I use Joomla quite a bit, but I haven't used Joomtube. I'll ahve to take a look at it.
You could also use Wordpress. There are some video themes out there and the Viper Video plugin makes it really easy to insert videos into posts.
