awebstore, Welcome to Webmaster World! Do you mean that you would like to have a .jpg on a page that would then be clicked on to start playing the mp4?

Yes, I can do that with a LongTail flash player for .flv files but I wanted to see if MP4 can be used; I have not found the right code to embed it yet and the neat feature of the flash player is that it allows me to post a static image that the public sees and clicks to 'start' the real video Thus I am looking for such for mp4 ken

awebstore, Sounds like you want to create a "poster frame". This can be accomplished with a good video editor. Basically you choose a frame in your video, and tell the software to use that frame as the opening still image. When it is clicked on, the video starts.
