Getting Video Indexed as Video smcilreavy msg:3975058 4:22 pm on Aug 19, 2009 (gmt 0) I have submitted Google video site maps for a number of My video sites.
Google has indexed a few videos as Videos and is including the thumbnail in SERPs.
However not all videos are being indexed as video listing all in the map.
The only possible issue I can think of, does each video need its own SWF player file? At the moment every video uses the same SWF player.
Any advice useful.

Welcome to Webmasterworld!
It can take some time to have all of your videos appear in the serps. How long ago did you submit the site maps?

Thanks for your response,
All about a few weeks ago.
Do you think I should just be patient and wait for Google to Index them as videos?
The urls are already indexed. Just not as videos.

I'm not sure Google indexes every single video for inclusion in the serps. Have you included a transcript of the video on the page to make sure that all of the relevant factors touched on in the video are being indexed? smcilreavy msg:3975686 3:11 pm on Aug 20, 2009 (gmt 0)
Just had a light bulb moment.
The robots.txt file is preventing google from indexing the .swf :)
That should fix it.
