Does anyone know how Google 'reads' and indexes video? I have received mixed messages from two very good sources but unfortunately they contradict each other when it comes to what content should be on the page which has the video embedded.
They both agree that Google places more weighting on a page which has video embedded and that a Google Video sitemap should be used, but what content should be used so that the page ranks well in Google?
Option 1: Video should be posted with a transcript on the page as Google reads content from the transcript.
Option 2: Video should be posted with relevant content on the page as Google extracts the audio track from the video.
