giving a link to regional domain from the .com one is right or wrong?

hi every body i have a question for all of you linking experts i have a site which is now five years old and is running very successfully now i have launched the uk version of the same site tell me that can we place link of the new site on the old site or this is wrong.

I wouldn't worry about putting a link to the new site on the old site.

its just a regional extension of your main site so i dont see why not either
