How many of those 1 billion tweets every 5 days are auto-posted to twitter accounts set up to send out blog post updates? How many of the people getting the tweets in their timeline have 2000+ freshly acquired followers from some follow back service?
There is a high percentage of spam on Twitter and it's increasing too, twitter had best take care of that before it's too late.
