| 4:50 pm on Dec 9, 2010 (gmt 0)|
|Eight percent of the American adults who use the internet are Twitter users. Some of the groups who are notable for their relatively high levels of Twitter use include: |
- Young adults – Internet users ages 18-29 are significantly more likely to use Twitter than older adults.
- African-Americans and Latinos – Minority internet users are more than twice as likely to use Twitter as are white internet users.
- Urbanites – Urban residents are roughly twice as likely to use Twitter as rural dwellers.

I don't see the attraction for non business users. I predict it's demise in 2011. I am prepared to eat my words.

Well, I also thought the iPad wasn't going to be successful in 2010. I've eaten those words too.
But the internet changes so fast and furiously who knows. Who would have thought that American Airlines was going to dump Expedia (or vice versa?).
Southwest airlines taught everyone that you don't need anyone else really. If it's on the internet, they will come to you.
What happened to Friendster anyway? And Yahoo is in trouble?
The internet has a short attention span, and it's SO easy to go from one site to another.
Twitter will probably pass away too, just not in 2011.

And you'll have an ID card, too! [newsmax.com...]
Then we're REALLY know who that 8% is... and "their little dog, too!" (quote from 1939 Wizard of Oz movie for all those too young to know)
