Many people found it puzzling that Evan Williams recently stepped down as CEO of Twitter when he ws so key to developing it and still staying on with the company. The NY Times published a 5-page article that covers this change in-depth. I found all five pages worth the read.
He’s not C.E.O. material. It doesn’t play to his strengths. He’s a better inventor; he’s better at coming up with ideas.

I find this to be an extremely wise move, by the way. Wise to the point of transcendence. If Twitter grows real roots in the web ecology, this step-down by Evan Williams will be a major factor.
