Redirect to https://www. 301 or 302 Response?

We have a website that upon entering, the user is redirected to https://www.domain.com.

So if they enter domain.com, or [domain.com,...] they are instantly redirected to https://www.domain.com for security and certificate reasons.

My question is, right now we are giving a 302 Object Moved server response while doing teh redirect, should we be doing a 301 Moved Permanently?

Yes, unless you intend to remove that redirect at some point in time. Otherwise it is permanent, and so should return a 301-Moved Permanently status response.
