How to determine a SE's market share
or: What is a query?

I would like to ask how one could determine the market shares of different SEs in the market of REAL queries, i.e., searches that were done with the intention of localising specific information on the web and actually looking at the content that the SE suggested.

Are there statistics that ignore searches that are based on browser re-directs or specify how much time the searching user finally spent on the sites that were suggested / went deeper into the site than only one page?
