Hello there, I currently have a site set up with a half decent amount of pages. I do not have a clue of how I can get any visitors to my site. i would like to get some visitors to my site just so i can see how things will be for the future even if it is just 10 a day! Could someone please give me some steps of how i can get my site out there (steps which do not involve money please i just want to get started!) then ill think about spending on e.g. adwords.

Any replies greatly appreciated cheers.

If you don't want to spend money, Link exchanges can bring you lots of good targetted traffic. Just email other website owners and ask them if they'd like to exchange link to you etc. You can also join forums related to your niche and include your link in your signature to attract more visitors.

In addition to what somebody06 said, posting quality comments on blogs related to your topic is another item you should do. If you have a good site they might toss up your link in their blogroll or if you are lucky a post that references your site.
