msg:4202606 | 7:27 am on Sep 16, 2010 (gmt 0) | Just spotted a bot that we've not come across before. The full User Agent string is: hoge (co2h2onacl@gmail.com) [Mods, this is the actual string as found in our logs - if inappropriate in any way, kindly do the needful, as required] Does anyone know what's this? We'll also dig more and post findings here.

msg:4202877 | 5:03 pm on Sep 16, 2010 (gmt 0) | A few basic Qs, please... - From whence did it come? (This forum's Charter link, above, shows how to best indicate individual bot-running Hosts or IPs.) - Did it read robots.txt? - Did it heed robots.txt? This bot's new to me but Bots vs Browsers saw it in June: [botsvsbrowsers.com...] FWIW: The "co2 h2o nacl" bot-maker must be into chemistry, too: CO2 = Carbon Dioxide; H2O = Water; NaCl = Sodium Chloride (salt).
