Does Using User Engagement Data Create A Homogeneous Web?
Everybody is just copying those who do it well

Okay we are talking about bounce rate, click through rate, conversion rate and page speed data being used to rank websites in search.

What we are seeing is that everybody is looking at what their competitors are doing and copying it. Great for users the majority get an engaging website at every turn - but does this create a two tier web where those who are looking at the web for something a little different can't find what they want.

Will it in the long term create websites in a particular industry that all look the same and present similar data in a similar way - homogenity gone wild.
