|Mystery surrounding google's backlinks|
| 3:39 pm on Feb 20, 2011 (gmt 0)|
Was wondering if someone could help me understand this better.
When I go to google.com and search for links:http://www.mydomain.com I see around 300 results.
However when I use a 3rd party tool (I've used atleast 3 different tools) that analyzes backlinks, I see 'zero' results for Google's backlinks.
Is there something i'm missing or is my site really doing that bad?
Weird thing though is that 65% of my traffic is through SE's of which google sends the highest. My site averages around 150 unique visits a day, so it can't be that my site isn't indexed on google.
Would appreciate if someone could help me decipher this.

The best and most reliable tool for this is Yahoo Site Explorer. I recommend you sue it instead of 3rd party tools, many of which don't work properly.
