|301 vs 302 & Link Juice|
A homepage canonical redirect question
| 11:05 am on Dec 22, 2010 (gmt 0)|
We own example.com and example.co.uk. The .com automatically redirects to the .co.uk. Lets say we have external links pointing to both of these.
Based on this, can someone please confirm if the below is correct?
1) If we use a 301 redirect, for external links to our .com some (but not all) link juice will reach our site. It's therefore best to get external links pointing to our .co.uk.
2) If we use a 302 redirect, for external links to our .com NO link juice will reach our site. The links are in effect useless (except for direct traffic).
Are these statements both true?
