hello all

a question:
if i'm using a link shortener such as bit.ly service on a hardlink such as www.example.com and post the bit.ly link on websites - will my site www.example.com still get backlink seo credit for it?
what kind of referal would i see on analytics? bitly or the site I have posted the link on?

[edit reason] please use example.com [/edit]

The shortened bit.ly links (ex: bit.ly/example) are 301 redirects to the actual URL (ex: http://www.example.com) so the page in latter should get credit for the bit.ly link.

Watch a video of Matt Cutts:
