| Company name in Title tag?

I've read that it's best to keep the Title tag short (2-3 word phrases) targeting the core keywords for that page. But, I've also noticed a lot of sites put their company name in the Title as well. Is this recommended or does it dilute the Title tag? Thanks,

That is common practice...you don't need to worry about it diluting the title tag. Go with something like: [target phrase] - [company - name] or replace the target phrase with a title tag that uses 2 or 3 keyword variations in a way that still allows the title to capture the user and increase click through rates.
