so I'm building a giant network of white hat sites which will eventually be used to help rank for the much larger site. Since I'll be spending a lot of resoureces to build the white hat sites, I thought it would be a good idea to put adsense on them to make extra money. Since my plan is to build a big network of WH sites for linking, would putting adsense on them jeopardize my campaign since google will know that I own all the sites that is linking out to the main site?

There's absolutely nothing 'white hat' about building up a network of sites created " to help rank for the much larger site". And Google does not need Adsense to spot a bad neighborhood - they can spot one at 3972Km with their eyes shut. Ownership is not the issue here. Your approach has been high risk (and largely ineffective) since 2005.
