I was wondering what the general consensus is regarding forum url structure and SEO considerations. Is there an attributable benefit to restructuring forum URLs for SEO purposes?

If so, what are some good guidelines or suggestions for proper url structure for forums to get the maximum SEO benefit?

My first thought would be to look at the way this forum is setup.

It depends on your thematic forum and your technical knowledge. Personally, I prefer the url structure like this :
_http://www.domain.com/forum/name-cat-[x]/name-article-[x]/index[x].html
[x]:id of category, id of article, number of page

Global Options:
top home search open messages active posts
