Hi, I just got a .ca domain name for my canada related web site. I already have a server in U.S. however since this web site will attract Canadian visitors I was wondering if it is good to go for a server in Canada. I thought Search Engines will pay more attention and give high rankings for related keywords for Canadian users. Any idea if it has effect or server location doesn't matter?

Thanks in advance..

Server location does matter BUT you should be fine with a .ca domain name even if it's hosted in the US. If you had a .com, Canadian based hosting would have been necessary.

Yes, from my experience server location matters. I have a website that is hosted in the UK, i rank number one for my keyword there but not in the US. I'm planning to set up a server there hence.
