Depending on your market, you may want to concider offline advertising in trade magazine (the website should only be a part of your marketing mix).
As for online marketing, have you concidered PPC, new release, email newsletters, viral marketing etc...
Have a look in the forums libraries for the best of the posts around here (select a forum, and below the forum title you will see links to charter and library.

A well written news worthy press release (pay for the distribution if it means you get to include links) can generate some quick interest and links if your content is great.
Concentrate on individual page titles and descriptions that are keyword rich. These can be re-indexed in a matter of weeks or days if you get lucky.
Localize with Google local and Yahoo local.
This may not give you better search position but it will give you better visibility in your marketplace very quickly. Conversions are conversion....

You can go advertisement. As far as online marketing is concerned you can go for press release, news release. And the best way is to start forum posting.
