Advice and Opinion re Google Ajax Feed API
EZ news agg site for a client internal use

Does anyone here have experience using the Google Feed API?

The application is a two-view (river of news + source specific) news site for a vertical market segment. News sources might number about 150. No need for archiving. Web access is the client's preferred method of access.

Any specific downsides to it other than the obvious dependency on Google for the scripting and the feeds, and the accompanying consequence of being cut-off for some obscure reason?
