combining multiple feeds into one
edit rss feeds into one rss feed

Hello Webmaster World,

I would like to try to automate this process as much as possible. I need to search for a subject on google news or other news sources, obtain the feed, edit the feed so they are not duped, and place them in a website.

Is there a database of press releases? and is there an application that easily edits these feeds into one rss feed?

Your recommendations would be most appreciated.

Thank you.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld thelino.

There are many tools available for combining rss feeds [google.com]. Probably the best known and most functional is Yahoo Pipes. It can be a bit difficult to understand for the beginner though. Fortunately they have some good examples you can follow.

There are a number of scripts you can use. I've had success with RSSmesh which is a PHP script that merges RSS feeds.
