Hi guys,

I have a wordpress blog hooked up to feedburner. Everything is working fine overall (there are about 150 subscribers to the feedburner feed), but their RSS readers are all saying in the author field/column "Your (optional) podcast author email address (Your
(optional) podcast author name)"

In the raw feed XML, its "<dc:creator>Your (optional) podcast author email address (Your
(optional) podcast author name)</dc:creator>"

I've looked in all the feedburner and wordpress settings, but everythng is filled out (including author name and email etc), but I can't seem to get the real author name to come through!

When you search for this text on Google, it seems to be a really common problem..!

Can anyone please shed any light on this, I can't Google it because other sites just show up in the results that have this same problem, its very tricky to actually find any posts about fixing this error.

Thanks heaps in advance.

This is something that FeedBurner is adding to your feed?

Possibly yeah, I'm honestly not sure.

Ok solved it. Deep inside feedburner, there is a section called "Smartcast". It has its own Settings area. In there, these blank fields show up and were filled with the offending text. I just filled them in and now its fixed.

This was a bit cryptic to find because it never popped up by default when creating the feed and it was active even though I never went into that section of feedburner. No worries.

Cheers
