We are a company sell supplements. We have just started doing optim,ising our site. But we are are waiting for our new site to be launched in june. We have done so far some optimisation work and gained a PR 1. Will anyone tell me about RSS feed and how it is useful to SEO.

A full answer would need more space that we have here. Any decent search engine will find you several detailed essays about RSS. It doesn't help SEO at all, it is a way of delivering content through a different channel.

if we have many different channels/tools to broadcast or serve our product, wouldn't it be at least helping to draw incoming traffic which will increase our SE rank?

No, it does not. When you have RSS feed subscribers, it means they are following your website remotely either through email or online aggregators. This does not improve SE rank. Alexa? Yes, it does..
