Is there any way to configure ie7 and/or firefox 2.0 to view the xml the old way for a developer?
We need to see the nodes etc.

Not to my knowledge which is rather annoying - I disagree with sniffing in principle. You can (in Firefox at least) just view the source to see the nodes.
