Is there some special trick to get the feed from my site updated as often as I say in the <ttl> tag?

Do I need another tag? (tried <gui> to no avail)

I woul dlike to create a feed for my forum members so they do not have to constantly check it, but so far the cache from G e.g. does not update the feed ..

any input?

hot topic - ey?

it seems the <ttl> might be good (yahoo refreshes the feed), BUT google seems to cache the entries and even when I have a new post on a thread and it moves to the top with a new pubdate it is ignored by google.

giving it a new guid tag does not work either, because a hot topic would produce the same headline over and over with google's cache.

it seems to me this is an interesting subject, but maybe it needs a new title - admin?

thanks
