Hi, I'm quite expert with technology of web sites.

I want to know if I can use a SEO company to do my sitemap or can I do it myself ?

Is it tough to draw up a sitemap for GWT myself?

Please let me know,

Regards,
Kip

You don't need to pay to build a sitemap, though you can pay for the tools to do it, but there are many free tools you can find with a quick search. I use a little perl script for plain html sites, wordpress has lots of plugins for sitemaps, Google and Bing both offer solutions and there are many open source tools to choose from.

Unless that SEO company has been hired to do other work on your site, why would you allow anyone else access to your site/server?

Sitemaps have a use, there are many free tools to create them, but none of the big search engines have any trouble finding every page on a site, unless there are broken links... which should be fixed anyway!

No need to pay anybody for just creating Sitemap. You can create Sitemap by yourself here :- xml-sitemaps.com
Here just insert your website URL and click ok.
This website automatically create your website XML and HTML Sitemap but there is only one limitation. This website creates sitemap which website has 500 pages or less than 500 webpages.

There are a lot of sitemap generators online. You can use one of those instead of approaching a SEO company
