I'm new to website design and I have taken over maintenance of my father's business website. Anyway, we have some webpages on there that we don't want to come up in out site search tool anymore.
I'm just not sure about to go about it. First I tried deleting one of the webpages, but then it was obvious to me that there is something in a mysql data base because the search still put the link to that webpage up, it's just that the link gets a 404 error becuase the pages isn't there now.

I feel I have to get into the database somehow.
I found a php scrip just accesses the database, but I can't see where it gets called from.

Oh, and the other thing I found was an admin page for the search tool, but there is no page in it that allows you to access the database. It allows you do do reindexing of the pages, allows you to change spider settings, see search statistics on your website search tool, etc.

Does anyone know how one goes about accessing this database? I can't asked the last person who maintained this website.
