The Google WMT is reporting that there is 25K pages indexed and when I do site:www.mydomain.com, it only shows 3030 pages. I understand these are only estimates, but our organic traffic from Google has been dropping @ about 10% a week in the last 3 weeks. We noticed last week that we had 3 sitemaps with same urls on our site under the All option. We removed 2 of them from our site, but we can't removed the sitemap submission as they were not submitted from us originally. According to one of the Google Employees, as long as the sitemap is not on our site, google will eventually stop crawling it. We dont know how long they have been running on our site as we have used various consultants to help us with our SEO. Could that cause Duplicate content and essentially affect our pages index to drop over the past 6 months. We have a PR of 3 and most of our sub-category pages are getting a PR of 2. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated it...We did launched a new navigation about 3 weeks ago going from a left navigation to a top navigation with sub-categories available for our customers to reduce the number of clicks. Surely, this couldnt effect our SEO, could it? Will SE start to think that our site is a spamming because of the hidden nav ?

Have you tried modifying your robots.txt file to advise the bots not to crawl these other maps which are not YOURS?
