| will I be penalised if an affiliate copies my website articles?

I have a website with over 100 niche tailored articles on it. An affiliate of mine has copied and pasted the articles onto his site to help promote mine. Will this penalise me in any way? I don't think it will, since my original articles have been on the web for years now, and somebody duplicating it will obviously show me as the origin of the articles. Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

i wouldn't fancy risking it. i would much prefer it if he included just a few lines and then linked back to the main article.
backlinks might benefit you, but duplicate content will only end up hurting you.

Google would claim that they would know where the content was found first...in theory. However, if it was published on a domain with more authority I would guess you would be punished.
