The MGM Grand, with more than 5,000 rooms including suites, private villas and lofts, over a dozen restaurants, and entertainment such as Studio 54 and Cirque du Soleil's KĄ, is a perfect match for PubCon Las Vegas 2011, the premier new media and optimization conference, which will take place on November 8 - 10, with a full day of PubCon Masters Group professional search and social media training on November 7.
PubCon has teamed up with MGM Grand to offer attendees an unusually low price of only $69 per night on a limited number of rooms at one of the hottest and largest hotel and casinos in the world, and with its own monorail stop, traveling to the Las Vegas Convention Center where PubCon Las Vegas 2011 will take place will be easier than ever.

I'll be booking in the next 24 hours.
The fact that it's on the monorail seals the deal - I've stayed at places with monorail and without - and no way would I bother staying at a place off the monorail again.

Yeah, and don't forget that we've arranged for advance discounted tickets, too.

Monorail. It's more of a Shelbyville kind of idea.

Just an FYI guys, but the reservation link sends me to a page that only allows reservations from the 7th-11th. If you want a room from the 6th-11th you will have to call the reservations desk to get the special rate. (at least until the reservations form is fixed.)

Yes, the special rate is only valid for the dates of the event.

But check-in at the event hotel isn't until 3PM (you can check in early Noon for an additional fee), while the special training session on the 7th begins at 8am.
For this to work for people who have signed up for that early training session they would need to arrive a day earlier - on the 6th, which the web site will not allow you to book at the special rate. People could always bring their luggage to the convention center and then check-in afterwards but who wants to do that?
I called the reservations desk and they gave me the rate for the 6th through the 11th. So apparently you can get the $69 rate for the 6th if you call. You cannot currently get it for the 6th through the link on the pubcon page. That's all I was trying to communicate.
