1. Most of my client sites are in HTML format (no php, asp, CMS). Will an RSS feed work on a site like this whenever we decide to add news or an article on a standard HTML page? 2. If we create a feed, will only technophiles stumble across the site and decide to use it? Or will an everyday surfer somehow encounter news from my client's feed on another site? 3. If a client sells widgets from their home, how does RSS actually benefit them? Are they essentially writing articles about their industry, adding them to a feed, and hoping that a site displays the news and encourages others to visit the source of the article?
Let me preface this by saying that I have absolutely no experience with RSS technology. I have three questions that you may be able to help me with.
