---- Why submit RSS feeds to FeedBurner

i like using feedburner because you can consolidate all versions of your feed - atom, rss - into one feed. google owns feedburner now too;

so who knows, they could probably use subscribers as a metric to determine a site's user base - unconfirmed.

i use a wordpress plugin called feedsmith that allows you to use your own domain's url, when somebody clicks the discovery button. it redirects to the feedburner link, but it lists all your articles which can drive traffic back to your site; if the person finishes the subscription then they are more likely to be a returning visitor when they check their feeds listing your articles.
