It seems only logical if you are going to call it a search war any longer. Google owns the battlefield right now indeed the empire.
I can see Semel buying the idea with a giant payout. Gates steals the headlines for the next few months and Google will be reduced to playing defense for the first time in their history.
Schmidt vs. Gates head on? No brainer.
This could be fun.
