Page is a not externally linkable

The site has a 301 redirect, static IP. Is MSN having problems with 301's? Any ideas?
Similar problem with my site. Homepage has dropped out since the last update. It is normally a top ranking site for popular search phrases with more quality backlinks than any other sites it competes with. Now the homepage is gone, but some interior pages show up down lower in the SERPS.
